Introduction

I have before me today some real computer security. No, not encryption software or a firewall, not even a big guy named Rocko. Our friends at Maxpoint have sent us Enermax's new line of computer security screws. For true hardware security, these simple screws could be a formidable first line of defense. They offer uniquely cut screw heads as well as an effective tamper-proof design to keep out the most persistent hardware thieves. Maxpoint has also sent us Enermax's new Tool Kit, a handy little device that aims to appeal to the MacGyver in all of us. But how will these two new offerings from Enermax perform in their seemingly simple duties?

I'd use one or two of those to secure a motherboard, but not put one in each hole. Using one to hold your heatsink in place would secure the processor, one for the graphics card, one for your expensive BRD drive, one for your hard drive - you get the picture. They sell locking lug nuts for car wheels, but they're not meant to replace every lug nut, just one. Like those, these would make it too tedious to work with your system if you replace EVERY screw with one.
