Conclusion

In the ongoing search for the perfect power supply, Zalman has brought yet another exceptional option to the table. Not only does this PSU provide plenty of power and connectors for most users, it does so without making a sound. If you don't require as much power, Zalman does produce a 300W version. While I was a bit skeptical about this "Noise Free" solution, my experience has allowed Zalman to prove that once again, they are the leaders in "Noise Prevention." The black paint job does give it a bit more appealing look and makes it stand out over many other power supplies which stick with the stock grayish metal. Some people may prefer that the wires be sleeved, but personally, I prefer to do the sleeving myself. For those of you seeking absolute silence while still providing a good amount of power, this power supply is my absolute number one recommendation.

Pros:

Good amount of power
Black; not the normal gray box
Active PFC
Quality construction
Holy Grail of computing silence
A few nice extras

Cons:

Somewhat expensive
