SiSoft Sandra 2004

Our first test is SiSoftware Sandra 2004's memory benchmark which calculates both integer and float memory bandwidth. The results are purely theoretical and may not accurately represent real-world performance. Higher numbers represent better performance.

As expected, the modules from Mushkin and Corsair are pretty much on par at stock speeds. The 9 MHz overclock with 2-2-2-5 timings allows for a little bit of a boost. The overclock to 254 MHz shows a huge improvement in bandwidth.

FutureMark PCMark04 Build 120

PCMark04 is FutureMark's latest benchmarking utility aimed at testing almost every component in a computer. PCMark04 uses portions of real applications to stress the system. For today's testing, we will be looking specifically at the memory and overall system performance.

PCMark04's scores show how much of a performance increase the extra bandwidth allows when the Corsair memory is overclocked. The overclock to 254 MHz allows for a rather generous ~25% improvement in the system and memory scores.
