Thanks to Newegg for supplying the Sapphire X700 Pro 128MB for testing.

Counter-Strike: Source

Our Counter-Strike: Source benchmark consists of a timedemo we recorded in de_aztec in a public server. This timedemo represents an ordinary round in Counter-Strike. You may download the timedemo here.

All of the in-game graphical settings were set to high. The "Reflections" drop down menu was set to "Reflect All." Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering were controlled in-game and not through Windows. After the timedemo has finished running, the Average frames per second is displayed in the console. For each test, the timedemo was run three times and the results were averaged.

The X600 XT performs admirably in Counter-Strike: Source. As you can see it is playable at 1024x768 and 1280x1024 without AA or AF, and it is even playable (by a slim margin) at 1024x768 with 4xAA/8xAF. Again the X700 Pro and 6600 GT perform very closely, with the X700 Pro actually doing slightly better most of the time. These are playable up to 1280x1024 with 4xAA/8xAF.
