Mad Dog Multimedia
I have never heard of Mad Dog Multimedia, but they had a booth at Piero's and were showing off quite a few different products. Mad Dog manufactures a wide variety of products from optical storage to graphics cards and even case modding accessories. Our attention was drawn to a BTX motherboard sitting among their many products. We quickly noticed the board wasn't actually Mad Dog's but an Intel board. Apparently they were using it to show off their compatible power supply. The power supply has four fans, three intake and one exhaust and has jumped on the modular bandwagon. This power supply is "one of the first SurePower BTX/ATX power supplies."

VIA
VIA was showing some of their latest mini-ITX and nano-ITX motherboards as well as their chipsets for ATX boards. VIA had several different mini-ITX boards being displayed including their soon-to-be-released VIA EPIA SP-Series along with the EPIA MS-Series, TC-Series and more. The EPIA SP is the latest addition to the EPIA lineup and supports the latest MPEG-4 hardware acceleration, has a fanless cooling system and uses VIA's CN400 chipset. Onboard you will find a PCI slot, a single memory slot capable of DDR266/333/400, dual SATA ports, VIA Smart 5.1 surround sound, dual IDE ports and several other features found on most EPIA boards. The MS-Series features onboard pin headers for greater freedom of design and is perfect for slimline HTPCs or other digital entertainment systems. The MS-Series also has a single DDR266 MHz SO-DIMM on the board's underside. Finally, the TC-Series integrates a 12V DC-DC converter, horizontal SO-DIMM as well as CompactFlash and CardBus slots. The onboard power supply cranks out 60 watts of power, which is plenty for most systems built around a mini-ITX board.
