Next I snaked my way through the crowd over to Altec-Lansing's space. I've recently reviewed several of their products with favorable results. The iM3 iPod speaker set in black is a new addition as well as the iM4 series speakers that can be used with any portable audio unit, not as iPod specific. Aside from that and a bit of new package design, I was pretty familiar with what they had to offer. Although two 2.1 computer speaker units did speak to me... hint, hint.
Blueroom
These next speakers caught my eye and couldn't just let them pass by. Blueroom Podspeakers are the North American distributor for Scandyna. These babies are sharp. The brainchild of a BMW designer, they are truly unique, functional and fashionable audio toys. With a hint of Eames flair, they really sang to me. With luck we'll get a set to play with in the near future. They don't come cheap, but where else are you going to find such one-of-a-kind sound equipment? The upright bongo-style subwoofer would compliment that tiki motif bar and lounge you've been thinking of completing, don't you think?
