Microsoft, Intel and DirecTV

Microsoft, Intel and DirecTV really didn't have a whole lot I was interested in. Not that any of them need to drum up business. But, they had some of the largest and most elaborate exhibits, so I though some pictures were in order. I did get a free Aerosmith CD from the Intel folks just for watching their presentation. Microsoft and DirecTV gave me nothing. Intel had a rock and roll/hip-hop get you out of your seat presentation. Microsoft had a pretend family called the Olsons. Trying to push their newest OS, Windows Media Center, the MS crew portrayed the Olsons, with Full House caliber acting, as the typical American family connected in everyway to all possible media at any given time. I must admit, Windows Media Center is pretty impressive. Lots of great functionality, I just don't have enough gadgets to really get any use out of it... yet. DirecTV's booth looked pretty; just look at the pretty pictures. I'll be looking at the Microsoft powered portable devices on Sunday.

Skullcandy

Skullcandy. You gotta love that name! I do, and that is what made me wander over their way. Skullcandy makes ultra-hip headphones, headsets, MP3 and CD players. Plus they were playing skateboarding and snowboarding videos accompanied by a Bad Religion sound track... right up my alley. Very cool people and very cool products. We definitely want to get our hands on some of their sweet schwag. To top it off, they hooked me up with the most stylish free lanyard at CES which made every other lanyard pale in comparison! It made my camera toting much, much easier. Thanks Skullcandy!
