Introduction

USB flash drives have been around for quite some time. In the beginning of their existence, they were useful tools, but were generally bulky, slow and of limited capacity. Of course, when compared to the dying floppy disk, they were a godsend for those who could afford them and live with their quirks. Today's USB drives, also known as thumb drives, have reduced greatly in physical size and price while sporting capacities of up to 2 GBs and transfer speeds surpassing 15 MB/s. Additionally, the market has started to evolve in different areas, bringing on some great new features to some of these devices such as water-proofing, shock-resistance, and extreme durability. Today, we will be taking a look at SanDisk's Cruzer Titanium USB flash drive which, as SanDisk claims, can resist 2,000 pounds of pressure without any data loss.
