Silly Nonsense
This last page is completely off-topic, while the page is called silly nonsense, some people may still be confused... After leaving QuakeCon we decided to go to the somewhat nearby Malibu SpeedZone for a little fun. Brian and I both got a SpeedPass so that we could try out everything they had there to offer. First we did 3 laps in the Grand Prix cars, note that I was car #8, and Brian was in car #3. Simply put, I kicked his ass. Kurtis - 1, Brian - 0.

Next up was the Turbo Track cars, which was sort of your typical go-cart experience where one car is always slower than the rest - lucky for me, it was Brian's. Kurtis - 2, Brian - 0.
After that we headed to the Slick Trax cars. Brian and I both got crappy cars, unfortunately! My car wasn't sliding like it was supposed to (too much traction), and Brian's axle was off-center so he had a bumpy ride. Bitter from defeat, Brian decided to play dirty and T-boned me on one of the corners, but I still managed to stay up front. Being the forgiving soul I am, I decided to get off the gas on the second to last lap to give him a fighting chance. Of course, my car stalled. Brian, along with everyone else, passed me, and it took about 30 seconds for my car to get going again. Brian won this one, but for the record I let him win (cough cough). Kurtis - 2, Brian - 1.
The best part of our trip to SpeedZone for me was the Top Eliminator dragsters. We got to go three times, and I'm proud to say that I got 1st place twice, and 2nd place the 3rd time. I believe Brian got 2nd, 2nd, 4th. Kurtis - 3, Brian - 1.

Here's a video of the dragster action from the bleachers. (893 KB)
Lastly, we played a round of miniature golf. I was excited going into it, but the course was pretty vanilla, so we got bored towards the end. At one point Brian decided to relieve himself on a car, which I thought was sort of inappropriate. Then we decided to make things a little more interesting on the last couple of holes. See the videos below to see what I mean. Oh, and for the record, I beat Brian 64-53. Kurtis - 4, Brian - 1.
(Brian's Note: Kurtis was the one keeping score, hence the win *wink*)
