LG
LG once again had a huge presence at CES. Their logo adorned many taxi cabs and buildings, and they had a pretty good sized booth. Most of their products aren't really things we cover, but they were showing off something we're very interested in, LCD with an ultra-fast response time of 2ms, not to mention a rather high contrast ratio of 1600:1 as well.

BenQ
BenQ, like LG, had a pretty big booth at CES. They were showing off MP3 players, digital cameras, notebooks, optical drives, input devices, TVs, and they also had a 2ms response time LCD, but the contrast ratio is a bit lower than LG's offering at 700:1. They also had a cute little LCD that just goes perfectly with Apple's Mac Mini.

Monorail
Before I get to the conclusion I'd like to talk briefly about the Las Vegas Monorail. This monorail is a blessing and a curse. It has made traveling to and from the convention center, or even up and down the strip, much easier! Cab lines with an hour-long wait are a thing of the past. However, the situation could be improved a little bit. For some reason, the monorail does not have as many cars running as it has the capacity for, so a car only comes by once every 5 minutes, and if you don't time your trip right, you end up waiting a while. The first picture doesn't look so bad, until I hold up my camera and you can see the rest of the crowd. The bad part is out of the picture. That escalator to the left has a ton of people up top, with a guy letting only a group of people go at a time, then stopping flow until the next car comes and leaves. Once you've gone up the escalator, you then have to go in a line all the way around the station, and then go down another escalator and wait in another line to actually get onto a monorail. Overall it only took about 20 minutes for me to get onto the monorail, but I'm a complainer (I can vouch for that! - Ed.), and there is plenty of room for them to add more cars to the monorail.

Conclusion
That concludes our CES Main Show Floor coverage, but we've still got a little something for you to look forward to. While we were in Vegas we decided we should have a little fun as well. Since CES runs from January 5th - January 8th, we thought it only made sense to fly out a little early and make it to Vegas for New Years Eve. And we did. With nearly a week to kill, we finally had time to do the touristy stuff like walk up and down the Vegas strip, go to some nice restaurants, some bars, and a club or two. Oh, and I guess I should mention that there will be more pictures than words, and maybe some booth babe pictures you haven't seen yet!
