Introduction

The Consumer Electronics Show was quite eventful for us this year. We saw several cool new products including Motorola's upcoming iRadio service, the Plantronics Discovery 640 bluetooth earpiece/mic system, DualCor's handheld dual-boot portable PC, the first Skype-powered phone from NETGEAR (pictures here), LAT subwoofer technology from Tymphany that will be featured in Alpine's upcoming product lines, iRiver's U10 handheld multi-media player, Antec's case line-up for 2006, the extremely high-end TJ07 aluminum case from Silverstone and much more.

From computers and home entertainment to automotive audio and video, we saw it all. However, unlike our previous trips to Las Vegas, this year wasn't just about nifty gadgets and emerging technologies. Playing with new toys is fun and all, but this is Vegas baby! Rather than fly to Vegas and work our butts off covering CES for four days straight, we figured it would be a better idea to fly to Vegas, start partying on New Years, don't stop until the show floor opens and then attempt to work our butts off covering CES for four days straight! Unfortunately, some our crazy shenanigans may seem slightly distasteful to our more sensitive readers. So instead of publishing those pictures here, we figured it would be best to publish pictures of the city, the exotic autos at the Penske-Wynn Ferrari Maserati dealership and the obligatory booth babe photos. Of course, we will still be posting our other adventures in the forums, so be sure to check them out!

To keep this article somewhat related to technology, quickly take a look at these pictures of the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas and Hilton Convention Centers so we can move on to the good stuff.

Heh, we didn't go to AVN this year. Our CES coverage was more important. If we have more time next year maybe we will go just to keep you guys happy, but that is by no means a promise lol
