Conclusion
If I hadn't had the problem with the monitoring software and never had to deal with ECS tech support, then I really wouldn't have anything bad to say. So if you ever need tech support from ECS, my sympathies are with you. But seriously, how often do you use the onboard monitoring when in Windows? On my main system I don't even have the monitoring application installed.
Aside from my minor issues, I'm actually very pleased with this board. The board was stable and overclocks pretty well. There is a generous set of accessories and the board layout is very clean and attractive. The best part of all is the price at which the board sells; $115. That's cheaper than most non-SLI boards with half the features.
I'm not sure that I would call this board "Extreme' but it's definitely a good board. Of course, the ECS KN1 SLI Good Board probably wouldn't attract as much attention. If you are in the market for a SLI board this is a good choice and will leave you some dollars in your pocket for those SLI video cards. I wouldn't recommend this as an all-out overclocker board with the limited memory divider options and my monitoring experience, but for running stock speeds or a little above, you should be pleased.
Pros
EXTREME amount of features for the price
Stable operation
Laid out well
Decent overclocking
Cons
Somewhat frustrating tech support experience
Where's my Windows monitoring?
Standard flat ribbon IDE and floppy cables
