I got a review sample of that stuff too. I'll be comparing it to Arctic silver II or Arctic silver III, Geil paste, some generic stuff, and whatever else I can round up. I've seen some reviews where it does better then ASIII and others where it does not.

Mixam recommended Shin Etsu thermal to me and said it doesn't void AMD's warranty PLUS!! I've seen a review on the stuff and it beats out all other thermals by a couple of degrees....sorry I can't remember the site though.

rofl that site has a poop award. we should give different levels of awards like that maybe :P
That shin etsu kicks some ass. I can't say I want to review it because paste is a bitch to review, takes forever, but I would like to see the results for myself, so i suppose i would like to review it. argh.
If you want icing sugar buy some!
Or even better royal icing sugar :D

im kinda new to the thermal paste world but from what I know non conductive is the way to go. is there a way to make that adhesive? If not what would be my best option? I want to get some ramsinks onto my GF4 mem

only downside is it sticks like crazy. If you want to separate your CPU from your heatsink later you can run the risk of pulling out your CPU like I did. I am using it on a Shuttle SFF system which has no room to move.

incidentally the same thing happened when i used the default paste that came with a sliencer64 (i just ordered an upgraded hsf online with some of this stuff). i think this happens whenever you solidly join two flat surfaces with a paste in the middle that doesn't let air get in.
i bet if you hang it upside down for a week, it will fall off by itself. i won't try that though, because i couldn't stand seing this thing sit unused for that long.
