nano iKitty
Speck states "Meet iKitty- the cutest toy and case for you and your iPod nano! iKitty is fun and functional - offering great rubberized protection, bendable kitty tail, and screen protection for your iPod nano."
Similar to the iGuy in form and function, the iKitty is another 'cute' idea that just doesn't end up working too well. Crafted out of white or black silicone, the iKitty comes with a screen protector to keep your friends from putting their crumb-laden fingers on the delicate iPod nano screen. The iKitty is split right under the tail to allow for the exceedingly difficult task of inserting your iPod into its muscular frame. Be aware that the slick chrome surface of the nano is no match for the silicone of the iKitty and you will spend close to 5 minutes trying to get your nano all the way inside.

The screen protector is a nice touch with a small silicone gasket on the side facing your nano?s screen (another protective element) and hard ABS plastic facing out to the world. There's the requisite cutout for the nano's click wheel just below. The iKitty's tail end is open to the world to allow for connecting your iPod to power/data and to allow for the easy insertion of your headphone 1/8" jack. The iKitty's tail is fully movable, with a small metal wire inside to allow for 'posing.' You can also have fun playing 'kitty ate the D-con and is stiff as a board' game with your friends, but, why incur the wrath of PETA if you can avoid it? If needed, you can wrap your headphones around the iKitty's tail as a means of storage. Up top, the iKitty has two eyes, one of which acts as the access point for the lock switch. It's a little tight up top and it does take a fingernail to get down there to access the switch. Removing your iPod should Mr. iKitty become boring, is a chore. Again, the chrome + silicone recipe means that you're going to spend 5 minutes or so trying to carefully remove the iPod nano.
When passed around to the other users, the general consensus was that this was a 'cute' case (a la iGuy) that didn?t really meet any performance expectations. It was 'fun to look at' but no one wanted to actually use it for their iPod. (Ed - Not even your 16 month old daughter? Poor kitty-witty.)
