nano FunSkin Grass

Speck states that the FunSkin Grass is "A remarkable GRASSY theme to entice even the most astute trendsetters! Not your average case- the FunSkin Grass' unique and attention-grabbing design provides fun as well as functional protection. The perfect case for extraordinary individuals!"

While their enthusiasm for their product should be lauded, the FunSkin Grass is, well, like holding a many-fingered iPod. The FunSkin Grass is made of Dynaflex and comes with a belt clip to complete the look. It is available in a light green or dark green colour and comes with a screen protector also.

The installation of the iPod nano was much easier in this case than the two silicone-based skins and took a minimum amount of effort and time in order to put it in. Removal was the same time and effort commitment. The belt clip is removable as is the belt clip 'nub' that stays on the case. The belt clip felt secure for the most part, but any significant level of force could easily knock your iPod off. All of the ports and switches were easily accessible to the user, with broad cutouts present on the top and the bottom.

When passed around to the other users, the general consensus was that the FunSkin Grass was ergonomically 'interesting' with an even split on whether or not it would be worth the money to get it. Handling the case was interesting as the individual 'blades' of grass felt more like a mini shiatsu massage on the hands.
