nano FunSkin Cloud

Speck says about the FunSkin Cloud "Encapsulate your iPod nano in a fluffy cloud of protection and fun! Not your average case- the FunSkin Clouds' unique and attention-grabbing design provides fun as well as functional protection. The perfect case for extraordinary individuals!" (Ed - I'm confused, wasn't the FunSkin Grass case perfect for individuals? How am I ever supposed to decide which to buy if they?re BOTH perfect? Argh.)

Again, their enthusiasm for their product is to be commended and unlike the FunSkin Grass, this case actually feels AND looks like a winner. The FunSkin Cloud is made of Dynaflex and comes with a belt clip to complete the look. It is available only in White and comes with a screen protector.

The installation of the iPod nano was much easier in this case than the two silicone-based skins and took a minimum amount of effort and time in order to put it in. Removal was the same time and effort commitment. The belt clip is removable as is the belt clip 'nub' that stays on the case. The belt clip felt secure for the most part, but any significant level of force could easily knock your iPod off. All of the ports and switches were easily accessible to the user, with broad cutouts present on the top and the bottom.

When passed around to the other users, the general consensus was that the case not only looked good, it also felt good. The gentle undulations of the 'cloud' felt ergonomically pleasing to most users and the white color was generally clothing-neutral for those who chose to wear it around. Again, the belt clip, while a bonus for portability, does not seem to be the most secure solution, but it will suffice in most environments and usage situations. The FunSkin Cloud was the clear favourite when compared to the iGuy, the iKitty, and the FunSkin Grass.
