Introduction

Since I began writing product reviews earlier this year, I've come to realize that like any job, there are good and not-so-good sides of being a technology reviewer. The benefits are fairly obvious since you get hands on experience with some of the latest and greatest products on the market. At times however, the experience is a little more of a chore because, well! let's be honest, not every product is going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'm happy to report however that the product up for review today does not fall into that category, and was actually a very pleasant surprise.

The product we'll be discussing comes from a company named Ultrasone that many of us are probably not all that familiar with. There are a couple reasons why you may not have heard of Ultrasone before. First of all they're based in Germany, and since they were founded in 1991, they're also fairly new as well. Ultrasone's focus has primarily been on providing high-end headphones to professionals in the music industry, so most of their products are priced higher than what most the average person would be willing to pay for headphones. The PROline 650 headphones that we'll be looking at today aren't what I'd consider "cheap" at $300, but let's take a closer look and see if they're really worth it.
