Introduction
The ever-changing world of computer mice is! well, changing yet again. Optical mice overtook the old ball "n' socket antiques long ago and, as I predicted in a previous mouse review, true laser technology has become the next hot ticket. Logitech introduced the world's first laser mouse to the market with the MX1000. Since then they have doubled their efforts to produce more accurate gaming mice with the G5 and G7.
But the problem with being the first is sometimes you need to top even yourself. While there is always room for improvement, in the world of computer hardware those second round improvements often resemble lateral shifts rather than advancing jumps. Logitech is aiming to improve upon their past efforts with a bounding leap forward. And while I see their newest addition to the wireless mouse line up as an evolution, Logitech is calling it a Revolution.
Logitech's MX Revolution is their newest flagship model featuring wireless connectivity and a swooping new design. A meek remodeling this is not. Bold lines carve sharp curves into this input device while a new technology promises to deliver "The World's Most Advanced Mouse," but we'll see about that. It does have lasers, of course, so that's a good start.
