Introduction
If you're a regular here at TheTechLounge you'll remember that not too long ago I had the pleasure of reviewing a pair of high-end headphones dubbed the PROLine 650 from Ultrasone. The 650 was an outstanding product because it combined great sound quality with some unique features like Ultrasone's proprietary S-Logicâ„¢ Natural Surround Sound technology, and greatly reduced low frequency electromagnetic radiation. I want to mention this upfront because today we'll be looking at another pair of Ultrasone headphones that also include these features, the Ultrasone iCans.
If you couldn't tell from the name already, the iCans aren't a part of the Ultrasone "PRO" series of headphones. Like most products beginning with a lower case "i," the iCans are meant to be associated with the iPod, and primarily intended for use with similar portable media players. The primary selling points seem to be (in no particular order) portability, style, and sound quality. Without any further ado, let's see how well the iCans live up to their strong heritage and meet their apparent design objectives!
