Conclusion

When it comes to speakers, looks and features are great, but one thing is paramount: sound quality. While Logitech clearly spent a lot of time designing the Z-10 interactive speaker system to be stylish and feature-rich, they didn't forget about sound quality. With some exceptions, these speakers really sound great! Rock music suffers from a lack of deep bass, and tunes that have a LOT going on in the lows will sound a bit muddied. The tweeters are generally crisp, but there are the occasional situations where they can't keep up, such as with fast high hats.

To tell the truth, I really don't have much to complain about with Logitech's Z-10 speakers. Sure, they lack bass, but I knew that would be the case before I even turned them on. For someone who either doesn't want heavy bass, or for whom heavy bass isn't an option because of bass-hating family/spouses/co-workers, these speakers definitely fit the bill in terms of sound quality. The attractive styling and nifty features only add to their appeal.

What about the price, though? This is the one area where I'm a little torn! The Z-10s will set you back about $130, that's enough for good set of 2.1 speakers. Clearly, if you are to consider the Z-10s, you must have absolutely no desire for a subwoofer. If that's the case, and you have $130 to spend, I recommend these speakers without hesitation for their great looks, attractive features, and overall great sound quality. As far as I'm concerned, these 2.0 speakers are in a class their own, and as such I am giving them our coveted Editor's Choice award.

By the way, if you have the time and patience, you can create custom apps for the LCD, as Logitech includes the SDK on an included CD.

I love so much my Z-10 Logitech Interactive 2.0 Speaker System. They are so Hi Fi and Power Full, every tonality are there and for a small system like this one it is very, very impress. There is no powered enclosure with so much dynamic. I recommended those enclosures to every body that likes music and wanted a small sound system with Lap Top an excellent compromise and portable.
