Introduction
I love music. It helps me focus, fuels creativity, and breaks the dull silence in my isolated working environment. A long time ago I reviewed Logitech's Z-680 5.1 Computer Speakers. I quite liked them, and they served me well for a while. However, since I work from my home office, the acclaimed speakers' boomy subwoofer annoyed my family after only a short period of time. Eventually, I just unplugged the speakers and put them in a closet, because if I couldn't have the full Z-680 experience (bass included), I didn't want any Z-680 experience at all. With that said, I've been music-less for over a year in my office! until now.
On the surface, Logitech's Z-10 2.0 USB Computer Speakers appear to be a great match for somebody in my situation. I don't want to sacrifice on quality, I want something that looks nice, and as much as I love deep, thumping bass, unfortunately that's an area where I'm going to have to sacrifice for the benefit of working from home.
I've been using these speakers for one month now, so the time has come for me to give you the skinny on these glossy black pretties.
First Looks
Even the product packaging for the Z-10s is shiny! When I picked up the attractive package, I was pleasantly surprised at how heavy it was. When it comes to speakers, heavy is usually an early indication of good things to come. Or perhaps there is a large stone in the box, as happens from time to time.
When you open the package you'll notice the speakers are protected within a plastic clamshell similar to what you see with packaging for new hard drives. Inside that clamshell you will find a user's guide, auxiliary input cable, USB cable, driver CD, Logitech-emblazoned chamois, and of course, the speakers.

The first thing I noticed once the speakers were out of the box was that they have a very glossy, reflective surface. Initially I thought this was a bit over the top, but they have grown on me and I actually quite like how they look on my desk now. Around the front edge of each speaker and driver there are silver accents which go a long way towards giving them a classy look. Protecting each driver is a convex black honeycomb grill, which was another good design choice in my opinion; cloth would have looked cheap.

I love so much my Z-10 Logitech Interactive 2.0 Speaker System. They are so Hi Fi and Power Full, every tonality are there and for a small system like this one it is very, very impress. There is no powered enclosure with so much dynamic. I recommended those enclosures to every body that likes music and wanted a small sound system with Lap Top an excellent compromise and portable.

These speakers are absolutely fantastic. I can hear things in songs that I didn't know were there- you can hear the bass guitarist in every rock song, and can easily separate different layers. They truly are different class, yet again Logitech have produced a gem of an audio system.
The bass is crisp, clean, and ample- I'd call it a nice chunky bass but not too much- just enough. There is plenty of power, even in high volume these are the most crystal clear speakers I've ever heard for a computer/laptop.
The sounds are clean, the bass is deep and tight, whilst the highs are frankly incredible.
10/10, no better 2.0 system out there. Don't hesitate.
