Skullcandy Headphones, MacGyver MP3 Watches & Speaker Link Bags

We dropped by Skullcandy's booth again this year. While they may not have top-of-the-line headphones, they are still pretty good, look great and hell, they have a badass name. How could you not like headphones with "Skullcandy" printed on them? Last year they were kind enough to give us a couple pairs of headphones to try out during CES, so I was hoping to get my hands on another pair or two this year but unfortunately the new items they were showing had to make their way to another event after CES. If I have time, though, I will try to get my hands on their MP3 watches.

Skullcandy has updated their watches, such as their new MacGyver MP3 watches that sport 512 MB or 1 GB of storage and look great. When asked about battery life I didn't get a clear answer, but I was told that the watch lasted (without recharging) through a 9 hour ski trip with music playing most of the time. In other words, let's take a look at the online product page, which states a fairly low 5 hour playing time. While low, I suppose that's good enough for a watch. Unfortunately the watch only supports USB 1.1 and a 2.5mm earphone jack. While compatible earphones are included, it's a bit of a disappointment for me, as it would be nice to plug in my Bang & Olufsen earbuds without having to use an adapter. The MacGyver watches also have a built-in microphone and voice recorder.

Skullcandy was also showing off a slew of headphones as well as a couple earbuds and Bluetooth headphones that are either new or redesigned for 2007. They also had a couple different backpacks and bags with built-in iPod controls. They teamed with Camelbak to put iPod controls in one of their bags.
