Conclusion

From style to performance, this motherboard excels in so many ways. DFI has pulled together some great technologies such as RAID 1.5, Serial ATA, 6 channel sound, and dual onboard Ethernet to bring the KT400a to life. The onboard sound may not be on par with today's leading soundcards, but DFI is heading in the right direction and giving the consumer yet another option when using the LanParty motherboards. The KT400a chipset is very good, and allows for some nice overclocking potential, but there is always room for improvement as we could not get the FSB up to 200. This is where their NForce II Ultra motherboard comes in (we will review one of these soon). Aside from the feature packed motherboard, the included accessories are extremely worth while, especially if you like to attend LAN parties. Finally, who can forget the sweet UV reactive colors on the motherboard that will definitely cause anyone to look twice. Overall this motherboard is an extraordinary value and I recommend it highly to anyone, especially frequent LAN'ers.
