Testing - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory



Splinter Cell uses a heavily-modified, shader model 3.0-intensive build of the Unreal engine, and looks great. Included with the game is a good timedemo, called Lighthouse. We use this one.

Note: These graphs were updated on 5/15/07 after we re-tested Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Some of the performance numbers were way too high with NoAA/NoAF. We thought the ATI beta drivers were the culprit at first, but an 8800GTS had the same thing going for it... So we don't know why the numbers were so off before, but now they're fixed. As noted later in the review, we will no longer be using Splinter Cell as a benchmark going forward, for a number of reasons...
