Conclusion
The 3H can be purchased directly from the SteelSeries website for $55 + shipping (Ed: You can find them elsewhere for ~$40.00). While I think that's a reasonable price for the combination of a fairly good pair of headphones that provide reasonably good bass, and a slick built-in mic, there are a lot of options in the crowded budget market that the 3H finds itself in. There are headphones in the same price range that offer better overall sound, comfort, and noise reduction features than the 3H. The 3H does however incorporate a reasonably good retractable microphone and is lighter and more portable than much of the competition.
Weighing all these factors, I think the 3H would probably appeal most to a gamer on a fairly strict budget in need of both a microphone and a set of headphones. That certainly seems to be the target demographic SteelSeries is aiming for as well, so if that's you and your tastes favor the 3H's design, then this is a product you should consider. If you already have a microphone you're happy with and are just looking for a pair of headphones though, there are better options out there for the money.
Pros
Relatively light and portable
Good bass
Nice retractable microphone
Cons
No real noise canceling/reducing features
Small earpads
