The Mouse

I think the mouse is a handful, but it's not uncomfortable, though symmetrical. The sides are grippy and most buttons are very easy to click. The scroll wheel spins with almost no resistance, but it's hard to click. The device is also a tiltwheel, so it scrolls left and right when rocked in the appropriate direction. The batteries add a lot of weight to the back of the mouse, and moving it means pointing the front half in the direction you want it to go and dragging the back along with it. That aspect was only annoying for high-sensitivity mousing (so it affected games), but desktop people who don't move the mouse far aren't likely to notice the imbalance.

The mouse worked on all but a glass surface, and try as I might I couldn't drain the battery with normal use. Besides looking both sleek and cheery, the mouse is not terribly special.

The Software

Aside from installing the drivers and enabling the information popups (instead of a caps lock light it flashes a message on the monitor: "CAPS LOCK"), the software adds a lot of features. You can re-bind all of the media and function keys, map macro functions, and check out the battery levels. This is in addition to regular mouse sensitivity and other tweaks.

Joe: Boy, this sounds like more trouble than a moose on the interstate.
A moose holding a sign: "Will do moose stuff for money"
Moose: Hey, can ya help me out? I'm trying to get a couple of bucks for something to eat.
Man: What's "Moose Stuff"?
Moose: Eh, whatever you want it to be. I could have sex with ya, or I could just stand over there and drink from the lake, and everything in between.
Man: Get in.
