Mushkin Enhanced XP2-6400 (DDR2-800) 2x1GB Memory Kit
IntroductionMushkin has been on the enthusiast scene for over a decade, and consistently produces memory at better timings and higher clockspeeds than the majority of competing memory manufacturers. Their devotion has never been widely heralded; they're predictable in a market that champions flash and innovation, even when that same stuff is, more often than not, ridiculous and temporary. This Enhanced DDR2-800 kit's got the signs of a good overclocker, with tight timings and above-average voltage options, but the DDR2-800 market is flooded with similar kits. Does Mushkin's consistency ensure another above-average kit? The Memory It's been a little over a year since Mushkin rolled out their FrostByte heatspreaders, which, at one time, were only used for their best-binned Redline kits. Now it's nice to see them on all the company's RAM, because they're both efficient when cooling and sturdy. The RAM is clocked at tight 4-4-3-10 timings, operates on only 1.9V, and, with an eye towards overclocking, Mushkin guarantees the RAM up to 2.1V. Not quite as high as other manufacturers, but more than enough for most people.
