Performance Notes
CrossFire does Company of Heroes a lot of good here, despite it being "made for NVIDIA." But it stops there. With anti-aliasing turned up, the card ties with, and even does worse than, a single-GPU 3870 1024 (256-bit bus). Crisis is no better. I should say, though, that the minimum FPS in all the titles was a lot smoother, with little or no tearing--the advantage of alternate-frame rendering.

"Best, er, only dual-GPU ATI card". What about 3850 X2?

Yeah, I wrote that before it was released. Kurtis, can we retract that? Also, Diamond has informed us that it was a mis-print that their 1GB 3870 has a 512-bit ring bus; it's still an impressive card, but it's just 256-bit.

dude81: Thanks for pointing out that error. That (and the 512-bit ring bus error) has now been corrected.
