But here's the first place where the Diamond Radeon makes up for lousy gaming. "Perfect" HQV scores. (Like other HD 3000 cards, moire isn't perfect, but brief to the point at which HQV doesn't fault it any points.) That is to say, any glitches you may notice in HQV definitely won't be noticed in regular movie-watching.

The second place: power consumption. This card, at full load, uses less power than most at idle. Which makes the amount of noise the heatsink produces a bit of a conundrum. I've heard worse cooling, but only in servers. So, if you were hoping to stick this card in an HTPC because the video's great, you'll want to look into third-party applications that turn down the fan--it's just not necessary since the card runs so cool in the first place.

Overclocking was completely disabled in the Catalyst Control Center. There wasn't even a tab.
