Conclusion
So, is there a valid reason to go out and buy this mouse that has been available for almost a year now? Judging by current pricing, which is barely $20 less than its initial MSRP, there is still some demand for this uber wireless mouse.
Naturally, HTPC users should be flocking to this technology. With custom settings and volume and play/pause buttons, MX Air is aimed directly at the home media market. And for good reason; home media users will be pleased with this mouse's features and wire-free performance. Then again, with laser pointer-like abilities, Logitech's Air also makes PowerPoint and other computer-driven presentations just a bit more enjoyable.
The ~$150 price point might be a bit out of range for the average point-and-clicker. But, if you're already dropping the dough to put together a righteous home theater computer system, this pricey wondermouse will be more than worth it. Plus, the cool factor is pretty high with the MX Air. All my friends marvel at my flick-of-the-wrist mouse-based volume control. And really, what's $150 when it comes to looking cool?
Pros
Excellent HTPC features
Well-executed gyroscopic controls
Long battery life
Cons
Pricey
Not the best gaming mouse
