Conclusion
The keyboard is really good at being non-existent. It's not great for work, but is a surprise winner when it comes to gaming--which I should point out, only needs half a keyboard, anyway--so it falls into the "keyboard for people who hate keyboards" camp. But, unlike so many friendly keyboards, this one's definitely at the cool table, with the smokers.
Which is almost shameful, because once I finally got used to typing on it, I didn't like going back to my regular keyboard. It could be much more useful if it just had more keys. Just as well, it looks pretty slick next to my gaming machine--I don't need home and end for that. It would be equally happy paired with an HDTV, so long as it ran OS X.
So, I'm going to have to stick with the wired keyboard for work. For me, this design has indeed been taken too far.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think - does Apple's design (in this product and/or others) get in the way of functionality?
Pros
Full-size keys
Surprisingly nice to type on
Good battery life
Pornstar looks
Classy pornstar, not cokehead pornstar
Although, it is thin enough...
Wireless
Cons
Learning curve to scale before typing becomes painless
Missing a lot of keys, so
Despite the name, isn't exactly a wireless Apple keyboard
Not super-cheap
No black version
Sub-par when not used with OS X
