Performance Notes

There isn't going to be a DX9 game that can slow down the GTX 280.

Synthetics, however, are misleading. Although these aren't the nefarious physics-cheating drivers, 3DMark Vantage has shown a falsely high score. But whatever, it's a synthetic test. Would you believe that this card scores a 5.9 Vista Gaming subscore? How cool is that!

As of the publishing of this article you can find the GTX280 for roughly $470. At $600 this card is too expensive, but at the current price this card is a beast.
