Conclusion

It's not just unfortunate laptops that are bereft of Bluetooth connectivity; how many desktops have you used recently without it? And for most people, most of the time, this is a complete non-issue. Chances are, it wasn't even on the radar when you were setting your computer's specifications.

But figuring out that you need or want it, only to find out that your machine is sans, is what hardware experts call a bummer. The Nova is an elegant and miniscule piece of hardware, and appealing whether you need one for a desktop or a laptop.

Function-wise, it's split. While the Nova worked perfectly fine and didn't do anything shifty, the sound quality through the connection isn't great. Although, for what I paid, I'm not hugely upset, and it's good enough for chatting. It's the right size and it fits the bill.

$30 and a month and a day? You can get one of these things from NewEgg for $20 in 3 days.

Gary: Thanks for the link. I wouldn't be surprised if it's got the same guts with a slightly revised body. This review was written a while back and was just sitting in our posting queue, for what it's worth. :)
