Protection & Features

The case offers full protection for the iPhone — both as a case, and with a screen protector. It was easy to assemble — both the screen protector and case went on without any difficulties. Once assembled, the case was solid — in fact I had a little trouble removing the case from my iPhone to let my friends try it out.

The case does not have any negative impact on the features of the phone. All of the ports and switches are accessible through holes in the case. The top features a hole across nearly the entire device, providing access to the hold switch, SIM card access and the headphone jack. There is sufficient space around the headphone jack that allows for normal sized headphone jacks to plug in. Oversized headphone jacks might have trouble fitting though. The hold and volume switches on the side are accessible, as well as the speaker and microphone areas on the bottom, as well as the iPhone dock connector. There is one last hole in the case on the back for the camera.

Conclusion

The only downside I found with the case was that it was a little difficult to remove from the phone. This could be an issue if you remove your case frequently to put the iPhone into a dock or other holder that requires you to remove the case.

Other than that singular issue, this is a high quality, elegant case for the iPhone 3G. Stylistically, the case is outstanding — it doesn’t add much bulk to the device and the outside retains the shiny that many silicone and plastic cases do without.

The Good

Looks very good
Sturdy
Stick-on screen protector included

The Bad

A little hard to remove from the phone

I don't know who loves my Reflect iPhone case more, me...or my iPhone! Yeah, yeah, I know the iPhone is a very robust solution all around. But, c'mon, a BIG reason you bought your iPhone is because it's the prettiest piece of mobile technology on the market! So why would you want to cloak it with some sort of frumpy, butt ugly case? Well, thankfully, with the Griffin Reflect case you can still protect your investment...in style! The suave, translucent black backing cups tightly around the phone, fitting more like a thick skin than it does a typical bulky, protective case. The raised chrome edges on the front also add all the screen protection you need without obstructing the slick finger-tip functionality that we all enjoy about the iPhone. It seems as though Griffin has carefully designed this product to provide all the necessary drop-resistant armor without compromising the elegance of the iPhone. Two thumbs up from me!
