Introduction

Apple’s iPhone 3G is on the march, and with a huge first quarter, tons of accessories have hit the market, including many cases and other accessories from Griffin. This week we take a look at the high-style Griffin Reflect Case for the iPhone 3G. This case has a lot to offer those interested in protecting the iPhone in a case, but maintaining the stylish appearance of the device.

First Impression

The Griffin Reflect case is visually appealing. It has an elegant and sharp look that enhances the style of the iPhone. During my use of the case, I got several compliments from friends and family. The case material slides along fabric, so it’s easy to slide the phone into and pull it out of your pocket.

The back of the case isn’t entirely opaque — it is translucent, so the Apple logo on my white iPhone3G was visible. It seems this is a goal of many iPhone case manufacturers — to make sure they don’t obscure the Apple logo on the back of the device. With this case it’s not entirely visible; if you shoot more than a passing glance at the phone you’ll see the distinctive Apple logo on the back - at least with my white iPhone.

I don't know who loves my Reflect iPhone case more, me...or my iPhone! Yeah, yeah, I know the iPhone is a very robust solution all around. But, c'mon, a BIG reason you bought your iPhone is because it's the prettiest piece of mobile technology on the market! So why would you want to cloak it with some sort of frumpy, butt ugly case? Well, thankfully, with the Griffin Reflect case you can still protect your investment...in style! The suave, translucent black backing cups tightly around the phone, fitting more like a thick skin than it does a typical bulky, protective case. The raised chrome edges on the front also add all the screen protection you need without obstructing the slick finger-tip functionality that we all enjoy about the iPhone. It seems as though Griffin has carefully designed this product to provide all the necessary drop-resistant armor without compromising the elegance of the iPhone. Two thumbs up from me!
