Extras

Just like the other motherboards in the Lan Party series, the NForce II Ultra comes with more extras packed in it than the hot dogs from the Kwik-E-Mart!

The following is taken directly from the DFI Lan Party KT400a review as the same exact accessories are included. For more pictures, check out the KT400a review here.

PC Transpo

The PC Transpo is a type of carrying kit for your computer. You strap your case into the PC Transpo and put the keyboard, mouse, and misc. wires into the pockets and straps located on the PC Transpo. I didn't think this would be too big of a deal before, but once I tried it, I realized how much easier it is to carry your computer.

FrontX

DFI has included the FrontX kit with the Lan Party motherboard to allow the user to connect different wires to the front of their computer instead of having to reach all the way to the back. They have included a Speaker and Microphone jacks, Firewire, and 2 USB connectors with the FrontX. You can check out our review of the FrontX kit over here.

Rounded Cables

To stylize the inside of your computer even more, DFI has included 2 rounded IDE cables and a rounded floppy cable. All of the cables are green UV reactive cables, and look very spiffy if you have a UV cold cathode in your case.

Accessory Kit

The Lan Party motherboard also comes with several accessories for your motherboard. These include a rear I/O plate, Joystick/Game port, SPDIF in and out jacks, and 2 Firewire connections. Each one of those takes up a PCI slot in the back of your computer. DFI has also included a Firewire cable and a 4-pin to SATA power converter to supply power to a SATA hard drive.

Software & Manuals

The Lan Party motherboard also comes with 2 CDs and several booklets. There is also a floppy disk with RAID drivers. One CD is drivers and other software for the motherboard, while the other CD is the WinCinema DVD software. There are also 3 booklets included. One is a hefty users manual, another is a features booklet, while the third is an installation guide. Each booklet is printed in several languages.

Minor mistake in the review, otherwise good work : this board actually DOES feature Nvidia SoundStorm! Written on the back of the box in fairly big letters (doh) plus deatiled on the DFI spec page.

If you want 5.1 audio out then you must scarifice the mic-in and line-in ports since the IO plate only has 3 audio jacks. However, a rear backplate bracket is available direct from DFI to add extra audio jacks which will prevent the loss of those ports (but it's NOT included by default in the box, which would have been better to see).
