DELL

DELL was showing off some of their newer products including the AXIM Pocket PCs, 23" LCD TV, stylish XPS system, and of course their iPod competition, the DELL Digital Jukebox. Lately DELL has been expanding further and further into consumer electronics, and this definitely shows with their Axim PDAs and Digital Jukebox's. DELL does stay true to its desktop line though and it shows. We saw their XPS desktop system which featured the latest and greatest in computer hardware and displays. DELL now offers 17", 23" and 30" HDTVs which integrate a flat panel monitor and TV tuner in one and are 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i ready.

You can get more information on their HDTVs here:

The Axim X3 and X3i Pocket PCs are DELL's latest editions to the PDA world. The X3 supports up to 400 MHz Intel X-Scale processor and up to 64MB RAM. The X3 also has an Integrated Secure Digital / SDIO Now! / Multi Media Card Slot and optional 802.11b wireless. The Axim X3 is around 4.6x3.0x0.56 inches and weighs about 4.8 ounces. If you're looking for a PDA, DELL is definitely worth looking into.

Not only is DELL competing with Palm, they are also taking on Apple's iPOD with their new Digital Jukebox. It is available in 15 or 20 GB models and has almost double the battery life of the iPOD. The Digital Jukebox is slightly larger and weighs a bit more than the iPOD, but the longer battery life and lower price definitely makes it worth considering. We did play with the Digital Jukebox a bit at CES and we can't complain!

lol that's going to be a whole separate article. i don't claim the AVN convention to have anything to do with CES :P

We just ended up finding out it was the same weekend as CES, so we said hey lets go :P

It's actually pretty funny. Originally Kurtis was like " WE MUST BE AT CES FROM START TO CLOSE! WE WILL BE THERE THE ENTIRE TIME!"

Then as soon as he heard of the adult convention, CES didn't matter anymore :-P

that with the fact that we had no idea we'd be walking SOOOOOOOOO much, so instead of being there from 9-6 everyday we were there from 9-2 :D

hopefully next year we can take advantage of the monorail, those taxis suck :P
