Zen Xtra
The Zen Xtra is the newest in Creative's line of products intended to compete with Apple's iPod, but since everyone is trying to jump on the HDD Music Player bandwagon, the Xtra will have much more competition than just the iPod. Not to fear though, the Xtra will be heavily equipped and trained in the ways of Jujitsu... yeah... The Xtra is an improved version of its slightly older brother, the Zen NX. For the most part it is exactly the same, except that it has a larger display (which is also blue instead of green), and USB 2.0 (instead of 1.1) which will allow you to transfer files much faster. The Xtra (like the NX), also boasts Quick Scroller Navigation, Find, Playlist Creation and automatic ID3 tag categorization, and you can also use the player as an external hard drive for storing documents, photos, whatever!
TravelSound
The TravelSound is an interesting new product which would be quite useful for the avid traveler. With the TravelSound you can, well, Travel with Sound! This product is best suited for owners of portable digital audio players, portable DVD players, or notebooks. It's also compact, lightweight and foldable.
MuVo2
The MuVo2 is Creative's new "simplistic' digital audio player, available in models with up to 4GB capacity. The MuVo2 boasts USB 2.0 for fast file transfers, an ergonomic & stylish design, and it's very user-friendly (according to Creative).
LCD Monitor 1700
Creative is expanding into the display market apparently, with the introduction of their LCD Monitor 1700. The specs are pretty impressive with 500:1 Contrast Ratio, 170° Viewing Angle, Native SXGA (1280x1024) Resolution, and a 330° Swivel Base. We saw the LCD in action (playing "2 Fast: 2 Furious'), and I must say it did look quite nice. We didn't watch for long though, maybe Creative will send us one in the future to review and we'll let you know for sure!
Zen Portable Media Center
The Portable Media Center that was on display at CES was a prototype, but it looked like it was turning out to be a nifty little gadget. The device features USB 2.0, hard drive storage, a large LCD screen, and easy-to-navigate controls. The name of this product really says it all. The Portable Media Center is supposed to be available in the second half of 2004, so look forward to that. (Sorry for the mediocre pics)
