Mushkin 128MB MP3 Player / Flash Drive / Voice Recorder
Introduction
Mushkin has been selling high-quality memory online for quite a long time. They have a range of products available to fit the memory needs of every budget and their high-performance line of Level II V2 modules can hold their own with any other brand. When I heard they would be sending me an MP3 player to review I was actually a bit surprised; Mushkin makes MP3 players? The Mushkin MP3 player is flash-based, plays WMA files as well as MP3 and recharges via the USB port. Available in 128, 256 and 512MB sizes it also doubles as a voice recorder. We know that Mushkin makes great memory, let's find out if they make great MP3 players as well. The Package The Mushkin MP3 player arrived in a silvery box with a shiny picture of the player on the front. The back of the box gave a good deal of information on the unit covering all the major points of interest. Being an online retailer, I would expect this player to come in a plain white box but Mushkin put a good deal of thought into the attractive packaging.   Inside the box we find the unit sandwiched between two pieces of vacuum formed plastic along with all the other accessories and a piece of foam to help keep everything in place. The display on the Mushkin player is protected by a thin film that, when removed, reveals a mirror-like border around the LCD itself.  Aside from the player itself, Mushkin has included a set of headphones, a rechargeable Li-ION battery, a USB extension cord, neck strap, quick-use guide and a mini-CD for 98/SE USB drivers.
