I think I would just take the door off the frontX, particularly as you already had a door on your case.

yea. i would probably take off the door too. i dont particularly care for the device just because i dont want my wires in front of my case, but it would be useful for plugging in headphones

Though with the breakout boxes for sound cards (Soundblaster, GameTheatreXP), they usually have a headphone connector on them. And then the game port on the card. With everyone going to USB for controllers, it seems less than useful nowadays.

I guess it could be useful if you didn't have front USB ports though.
