I've never used them before but i've heard of alot people recommending them. Also try googlegear.com, they have some pretty good prices too on computer parts.

I've bought tons of stuff from them. I like to use them and they seem pretty good. Though I have to say that I've never had to return anything or had a problems with them, so I don't know what their return process is like.. :)

Another good store that I use all the time is Directron.com

But if you are going to buy from Directron, use this link because it gives us commission:
http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?directron+bxFSrZ+index.html+

Thats the store that I almost always use, very fast shipping for me in Texas, Ground shippig for me is 1 day :)

I always use Newegg because they are quick and cheap. They move inventory very fast so your always sure to get the newest revisions if there out. I haven't had to deal with their customer support though...still I've heard its good.

yeah, kurtis i use directron almost exclusively.

they are quick, usually about 4-5 days ground shipping to VA. they also take care of any problems quickly as well. i had just noticed that newegg had some better prices on the vid card i was looking at. however, with most of directron's coupons, the prices come out the same. it's the free shipping that caught my eye on newegg.

for my next order from directron, i will click on your guys banner first.

w00t w00t commission w00t w00t!!

Another nice site is www.osobear.net nice customizable computers cheap. They are prebuilt for you, but they are custom built. So you can buy a nice one and then customize it. They are very customizable since they are custom built. Ok I'm done.

yeah, MyFifthLimb i just looked at osobear.net, not exactly what i am looking for. they are certainly cheaper than alienware and all the other craputers (compaq, hp, etc...)

where exactly in IL are you, btw? i am originally from springfield, IL myself.

Newegg is THE BEST. If I had to do without, choose between Newegg OR (ALL other web vendors) I wouldn't give up Newegg. Oh, and those beautiful pictures... it's a website others can only hope to mimic.

... and I'm only getting paid 25 cents per word to write this, so i really MUST like them (just kidding).

I've purchased tons of hardware from NewEgg, I think they're great! I've also had to RMA hardware with NewEgg and that went smoothly as well. I like them because most of the stuff I get has free FedEx Saver shipping, which only takes three days to get to me here in the Kansas City area. I don't order much from anywhere else, even if the price is lower because a) the price isn't much lower, b) there's an added shipping charge, and c) I know NewEgg will stand behind what they sell from experience, I don't know that about anywhere else.

One thing that really pisses me off with Newegg is that they "censor" their customer's reviews.

I once purchased a motherboard from them, and wrote a nice review where I took a lot of trouble to list all the good points / bad points of the board I purchased. But the review was NEVER posted on their web site. I then tryed sending it a couple more times, and still never posted.

They will ONLY post reviews that are positive (with some exceptions, but not many). If you buy a product from them and read the customer reviews on their web site, then your only seeing all the positives. There may be 200 bad reviews of the item. But Newegg will only post the 20 to 30 people who posted the good reviews.

I don't care for censorship. And that is my main complaint against Newegg. They are censoring.

I place 3 or 4 orders a month from newegg both personal and work related.

Never had issues.

One time Fed Ex lost a box of hardware worth $1,000.00 I ordered from newegg. I called newegg and they shipped a replacement in 2 days.

I spray painted a Soyo platinum board with UV paint, after I taped off the PCI slots, NB fan, CPU Slot, etc. etc. It wouldn't post. Hmmm. RMA'ed back to newegg for replacement. RMA'ed vid cards, and every transaction there was a pleasure. I RMA'ed one vid card and they said i would be charged a restocking fee. I bitched about the thousands of dollars I have spent there and they dropped the restocking fee.

All in all they are a class act. They use to have better shipping charges though.

www.zipzoomfly.com is slowly overtaking newegg in my book as they have better shipping charges and prices are matched or even lower than newegg. zipzoomfly use to be egghead.com

But you guys probably already know this info.
