If you didn't know already, I am currently on vacation (since june 11th) and will be on vacation until july 21st. I just figured I would tell you guys what I have been doing on my vacation so far.

On this trip I have driven from San Antonio up to New Jersey (3 days), stayed in NJ for a few days with friends, flown to Barcelona (Spain) with my 2 very good friends MT and Chris. We stayed in Barcelona for 1 day and then the next morning we boarded the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Splendour of the Seas to cruise around the Mediterranean for 7 days...

On the cruise, we fist docked in Villefranche (France) on Monday and drove all along the Cote de Azur (Eze, Nice, Monaco). The next day (Tuesday) we docked in Livorno (Italy) and saw Florence and Pisa. On the next day (Wednesday) we docked in Citavecchia (Rome) and saw... you guessed it... Rome! Our next day (Thursday) we docked in Naples (Italy) and saw Pompeii. We next docked in Valetta, Malta (Friday) and saw Malta. The next day (Saturday) was spent at sea where we were finally able to rest, and finally, on Sunday, we docked back in Barcelona.

We then spent 3 days in Barcelona and then flew back to New York City. Then we attended a friend's traditional Indian wedding in Delaware, and now I am in New Jersey. Today MT and I drive from here to Washington DC... At the end of the trip I will create a small website with a calendar detailing what we did each day with links to pictures for each day (when pics were taken). This has just been a brief run down, I will get into more details later.

Anyways, time to put the suitcases in the car. I will keep you updated (even if you don't want me to lol)

wow. sounds like a blast. :D

Kurtis, if you manage to drive east on highway 64 through Virginia, let me know. I live in Charlottesville, 2 hours southwest of DC. I could hook you up with a place to stay for the night if you needed.

have fun on the rest of your trip man.

Oh we will. But it will be a virtual roadtrip in the form of our forums and the gifts will have to be won :-P

Expect a HUGE contest when Kurtis gets back. Multiple prizes and winners. Hundreds of dollars worth of winnings.

:-D

That is if we don't keep it all for ourselves *wink wink* j/k :-D

Wow... that is very cool of you man. Unfortunately we already have everything booked for the entire trip. In fact, we are currently staying in a Best Western next to the University of Virginia. We left DC this morning, in DC we were able to see the Holocaust Museum, Museum of Air And Space, and the outside of the White House. We tried to check out the Engraving and Printing, but they only gave out 200 tickets and we were like 220 in line :(

Anyways, we will probably do a road trip every summer from now on, its going great so far. Perhaps next time we will stay in Tech Lounge fanboys' houses along the way lol :P

Lol... oh yeah, you guys are in for one hell of a treat. Most of the active posters will probably win something, perhaps even one of the big prizes. No official prizes have been chosen, but I can tell you that things like cases and PSUs and more are possibilities.
