I bought a Sidewinder Precision2 Joystick to help in my quest to fly planes ala TopGun style but im having a right ballache to try and configure the joystick so it works!!!

1st it seems you have to allocate the buttons a keystroke but im having trouble getting BF1942 to reconnise my actual STICK so i can move left right forward backward etc, it notices the buttons fine but i cant get it to see the Stick!!

Can anyone please help me!!!

Has anyone got one of these Joysticks and are able to help me out please msn me at drleecooper@yahoo.com or email to same addy!

Thnx in advance!!!

I have this joystick and it works great, especially for bf1942

What OS do you have? Installed Sidewinder software? Maybe I can help, or maybe you have a defective stick.

Yeah which O.S are ya running? I remember seeing something on micro$oft knowledge base about the sidewinder stick having problems being detected but I think it was related to windows XP. But if your running XP do u have sp1 installed? Are the drivers for the joystick updated? If your not running windows xp, u might just wanna check the knowlege base and search for the problem u mentioned. Not surprising that something microsoft designed doesnt work on there own O.S.
