Thought I might throw this out into the forum. Purchased an Enermax (http://www.directron.com/cs319.html) case with side blue lit fan. It is not as sturdy as some cases I have owned, but I just couldn't argue with the number of fans that can be installed (2x80 rear, 1x80 top, 1x120 front) and it was the right size for my desk. The interesting part comes from the fact that last time I opened my case, I found a pile of dead bugs a cm thick on the bottom. I have apparently just built one hell of an expensive bug zapper. Has anyone else had this "reaction". BTW if you think one TT smartfan2 is loud, try 4 of them. Sounds like a 747 powering up

LOL! That's great! Well, sorta... you have dead bugs in your case :-P

What is the model # of the case? We just got two more cases from Enermax and we might have the same one.

i just wonder if it's the fans that are killing them or if it's the heat inside the case.

either way, it's nasty.

maybe we can find a blue lighted flea collar and line the inside of the case.

I think they are getting too close to the 120mm in front, then being sucked through and finely minced. That would explain the lack of "whole" bugs, only parts. The computer is starting to starve out all my roaming house spiders.

hmm, get a fan filter..that'll help.

Close your window?

j/k :-P

Yes, closing the windows and turning the AC on does help the bug problem. Haven't checked the dead bug depth in a while. Doesn't appear to be as many. I pity any insect which comes into contact of those Volcano Fans.

LOL that is so funny. I have found a couple of bugs in my chieftec when I used it with cathodes and stuff, i dont think it is the blue lights, just the fans sucking them in, fan filter would definitely help, but you will gain a couple degrees C as a result probably, but no more dead bugs is worth that :P

I have quite a few systems running, and all those bugs love the blue one. It probably doesn't help that there are blue lights up both sides of the front. A filter would help, but unfortunately I am pushing the limits of cooling vs db as it is. I am sure you are familiar with the fan on the TT Volcano Xaser 11 CPU cooler http://www.thetechlounge.com/review.php?REVIEWDIR=thermaltake_volcano_11, I also have 3 additional volcano fans in there, as you are well aware of their extremely high badger coefficent. The CPU sits at 46C and the Mobo sits at 29 C, who knows what the db level is sitting at. I have managed to OC just about everything, including the #'s of dead bugs. Now if I could only find some way to electrocute them with that brilliant blue spark without frying the components out...hmmmm....now THAT would be interesting.

unfortunately, the Badger King met with an untimely demise. and, yes, as you might of guessed, it was at the hands of a TT smart fan. sadly, he was minced....into fine granules.

who now will stand and lead the badger revolution?

ok...what type of bugs.....i have wasps in my walls..and sometimes they come out from my ceiling from behind my light bulbs.....often they fly to my bedroom window...and then often times they get sucked into my computer case....they don't get chopped up by the fan as some would expect...but i then have to shut down my computer and open it up to find bug sauce all over the CPU fan (since it is a hell of a lot faster...this one can actually chop up the bug)....each time i think of it i also think BEETLEGUISE BEETLEGUISE BEETLEGUISE (yes it is Beetleguise and not beetlejuice....i don't know why people think this i think it is because the remastered version on DVD is titled BeetleJuice...although it is really Beetleguise.....Wha-evah)

Looks like an assortment of nats etc. It was more of a problem when I had the windows open, the damn thinkgs would always be buzzing around. Nothing all that large, although I have yet to reanalyze the contents again
