ultimate gaming machine..For those who want to be able to afford it.. i will be starting with the main components. WHat makes the ultimate gaming machine is it has to be fast. But what good is a gaming machine if its fast and u cant get into it. :shock: Thats why i will be going thru all the compenents you will need.

2x ddr gives the athlon about 3-5% performance gain.. with Intel, it is more substantial.

Umm... not everyone requires the same thing or are you just showing everyone what your sys is, I don't know what it is you are trying to do...

2800+ isnt really worth it
maybe a 2500barton or 2.4C
abit nf7s or epox 8rda+ will do as well or better than the a7n8x especially if its not a deluxe
as for hds, why not get a WD raptor?
besides that system will run you 2000+ which is not for "those who want to be able to afford it"
you should be more specific
are you saying the components you need are the cpu/mb/ram/drives+the input devices or are you telling people to get those parts
if so why not add hsf, case, ps, etc...

hmm id change the 200gb hard drive and put 2 100's in and have a raid setup and stripe them !
