Yes, has anyone here heard about the N-Gage by Nokia, first handheld with full 3d graphics etc. and it a cell phone. It has some really nice features but I haven't seen anything more than the site and the street team site about it yet. It's hard for any company to sell any kind of handheld vs. Nintendo and their GameBoy line but you never know with some of these new systems... 8)

N-cage i heard was going for a november release over here, but haven't heard anymore on it.

I think that both the PSP and the N-cage will be very successful. The press releases for both stated that they will not compete with the GBA but instead go for a target market that the GBA doesn't reach. Where as the GBA is a mainly an under 14 market (i know the GBA SP was targeted at 'grown-ups' but sony obviouly missed this...) Sony are heading for anyone above this, and with a prices tag reported at $600(!) i am not suprised if a sales stratigy aimed for men, aged 25+ and in a successful buisness goes ahead.
N-cage details for pricing i haven't seen, but they stated much the same as Sony - 'its a grown-up platform' - and with the added function of being a mobile as well, kids (18 or under) will pretty much be unable to get one, without perents paying for it AND the risked cost of calls their nipper might make.

Me i am happily staying with my GBA :) Advance Wars (and soon AW2) is only on it so that decides for me!

All this money for something that won't be upgradable etc.. You could buy a SWEEEEET video card for the price of some of these console and portable systems.

Yeah, but nothing really beats a mobile device, they shall be upgradeable soon I'm sure, not too soon, but sometime. Things are getting to be pretty revolutionary in the gaming world these days, more competition, larger traget-markets, more acceptence. I remember just when I was younger, before anything next-gen, only little kids and geeks/odd fellows really used consoles much and now it is cool to get a PS2 or XBOX, people aren't going much for the G-CUbe but that's just the way things happen. :P
