IRC is best for full albums but what about individual MP3's?

I like Direct Connect. It's not as easy to use as Kazza but you can get a lot more than MP3's. (Well, Kazza can do that too) But Kazza has a lot of BS. It's unbelievable how many times I try to get an CD key generator and end up with a virus. For the most part, all the stuff on Direct connect is legit. And by "legit" I mean non-virus stuff-that-works, not legal.
I am a wuss. I'm not gonna risk using Kazza anymore. Direct Connect, I think, is the way to go.

irc is best, but i use soulseek for lots of music that's not easy to find.
as far as movies and large files like that, i found that eMule works the best...

considering the subpoena to users ratio, i would still consider kazaa to be safe. besides they are mainly focusing on the hardcore sharers

yea as long as u dont go crazy with the dl's Kazza's great. If u get charged just go out real quick and buy the CD's, "hey look its for backup purposes" ppl get in trouble when they leave their comp on all day, Kazza likes to hide itself in ur system tray. direct connect is great

i may not be a hardcore sharer, but i was sharing over 5,500 songs...not as much as the people they're goin after but still dangerous...

yes, that may get dangerous. there are many sites which have databases of names being watched. you could check there every so often
i use it dl music vidoes, and tributes.

well so far the RIAA isn't after the ISPs on my service provider so Im gonna use Kazaa until they do. By the way I use Road Runner, and if my sources are wrong and they are watching Road Runner, please tell me!

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that there was a court case that will overturn a lot of this BS. Check into it, I'm pretty sure you'll start to see them loosen up about sharing media (music, mainly) soon.
