just out of random curiosity. I'm guessin that since its soooo cheap that it would have to run on some sort of predeveloped system. Replacing the W wit L seems like a pretty big sign also, unless they tryin to make it sound like linux. Has ne1 ever used it before?

It is Linux based but they were going for complete Windows compatability. Sadly, they failed and just developed some other junk where you can use any program from some sort of database. Easy to get programs and stuff. Basically Linux for dumb people.
I may not be correct, i forgot :-P

I'm pretty sure I read that they stopped focusing on Windows compatability. It was on their site too.

Yeah pretty much having windows compatibility is a losing battle, every time you get close there is a new version of windows and whole new set of problems to deal with. Never mind the whole legal issues that I'm sure Microsoft would bring up if you got close.

Yeah, Microsoft sucks... and trying to explain the reason to "ignorant" people is yet another losing battle, it's the only thing they know. :x

Yea, I read something in my PCMAG (I'm not a nerd :P) about Microsoft sueing someone because they named it Lindows. There exuse was that there customers would get confused and not know what to buy. Which, in a sense, they are typically correct. I often help people and it's always funny to hear there questions. For example, someone said, "Well, I have a HP computer, shouldn't it be compatible with a HP printer? Because they are made by the same companies..." That's one of the few... I'm sure I will be expecting a lot more of this, like "Hey, where are the cables to hook up this wireless network?"
P.S. hahah...

Hahaha, Microsoft practically pwnz everything, I feel bad for anyone who works there in the lower ranks, low pay and cdirty cubicles I'm sure, and they probably do all the important work. And while I don't like Bill Gates, atleast he knows how to use computers still, most CEOs forget everything about their trade and don't care and atleast he uses it. Lol, but he could die for all I care.:)
