Well what do you want to put in it's place. Usually it's just formatting the drive.. or do you want to back rev to DOS (if this was an upgrade).
^^ yep..there is no other way to remove it other then formatting..not adding an uninstall feature is a part of microsoft's plan of global domination.

I want to have it boot up to dos all the time. I might try to install Windows 3.1 later.

Well i tried reformatting my drives. And it boots up to dos, but i need a startup disc. Is there any way to just have it go to dos, no startup disc?
go into your bios settings and change the boot read to Cdrom, A:, C: or similiar..so it reads your cdrom at boot

In the bios, for the boot up sequence it has two choices: A:,C: or C:,A:
What do you mean by change it so it reads your cdrom?

I'm still not sure what you mean by cd drive 1st, but i changed it to C:,A: and it won't boot up, it says "Invalid System Disc".
try formating the c drive, then copying the contents of the bootable floppy to the c drive. I don't know if this will work, but it is worth a try. I think the boot from CD option is not available with a computer of that age.

I formated the c drive, and i tried copying the boot files to c but it says invalid drive

wat are u suing to fomat?
if u use a windows 98 startup dist (www.bootdisk.com) then type format C: /s (i think this is the switch to make the formatted drive bootable by copying over all necessary files to do so from the floppy)

Or if you don't want to lose any data that's already on there.. you can use the command "sys c:" to add the system files to a drive without formatting it.
