For details, read the possible lan in san antonio thread.
Anyway, the cafe owners are demanding to know all sorts of things like, how many people are coming, and how much money are we getting. So to recap, if we get enough people to get this off the ground, the lan is this sunday, noon to midnight, at gox gaming cybercafe, $15 a person. Size is limited, to maybe 25-30 people at the absolute most, the last 5-10 of those will have to byoc. So first come first serve. Also the list needs to close Thursday or Friday or alow time to get everything together.
Please post all info here. I need name, e-mail addy, and if your byoc or not.

Can bring my own if absolutely necessary, but I have a 22" monitor that is a pain in the ass to carry around so I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather use their stuff.

youd have to understand the circumstances of my post.
i signed up while talking to chemicalburn and feel that its a stupid idea to just use this one post as the sign up for the lan. if only the people that sign up on this post are scheduled to go then that will only be like 10 people max. and he doesnt seem to be open to a suggestion of just writing the people down. i find it silly, considering many people who are planning to go wont sign up in this post

I'm open to whatever needs to be done, but as for now, for compiling a list for me? This is quick, and easy. And yes, I do realize that it does take two minutes out of your busy life to sign up and post if your not signed up already. I'm sorry to waste that well spent time, but apart from this, what would you have me do? Post my phone number and say, hey, everyone who wants to come call me, and hopefully I'll get your call and be able to jot everything down.
If you have a better idea then that one, let me know. Or even, a better way to put me in touch with people I dont know.
I'm open.

my god people are lazy... how hard is it to register, i mean really... you dont even have to confirm after you sign up, you make a username and a password and put your email, SUBMIT, thats all it takes. and then you post. wow that is so amazingly hard.
my opinion is that if someone isnt willing to do that, chances are they aren't willing to go to a lan they have to pay 15 bucks for...

Alllllriiigghhtty
Its done and taken care of, i got the headcount and i brought in the money. The place is ours, now, if you like, people can still show up the day of since we met the deposit requirement. So feel free for late bloomers to join anyhow.
Okkk, heres the deal
they have 14 computers up and running, this means some will have to byoc i suppose. However, its all gravy becuase they have extra moniters, keyboards, and mice, so all you have to lug is the box itself. Up to a certain point, then if we get really full (mid to high 20's) which is doubtful, then you have to bring all your stuff.
Any questions lemme know.

Do you lan's support WAN'S?
Because it would be hard for me to get there. I have a fast connection so it wouldn't lag too much.
